Yes they would, as Ashura mated with a Mew while he was a Mew. His father mated with a human. Technically, Ashura should be a half-breed, but this isn't supposed to be technical. <_<
Here's some major spoilers for it for those of you who can't wait.
Ashura's son and daughter really don't respect Misty, because they a noble Mews, while she is just an ordinary human. They behave while Ashura is around, but they wear him out so much that Misty forces him to rest while she looks after them. The two play pranks on her, but she doesn't mind too much. Team Rocket appears and captures them, thinking they are the two Mews from before and have no knowledge of Ashura's identity. Misty ends up saving the two, and the two help her defeat them. They gain newfound respect for Misty and treat her as though she really was their mother. I won't explain the rest.

Special: Respect for a Human
Ashura had both a son and a daughter. His son was named Sasame, and his daughter was named Rena. Their mother, Aemi, died shortly after their borth. After they hatched, Ashura decided he wanted to raise them in the human world.
"Nao, if something happens to me beyond my control, would you mind taking care of them?" Ashura asked. "Of course I would Ashura-sama." Nao replied. "Thanks." Ashura smiled.
Ashura took his children to the human world. He ended up introducing his human mother to them, and then introduced them to Misty. He asked Misty if she could help him raise them for a little while, and she agreed. Sasame and Rena were quite the trouble makers, always playing pranks on Misty, forcing Ashura to scold them. One day Misty noticed Ashura was not feeling well.
"Are you okay?" Misty asked. "Yeah, I'm fine." Ashura replied. "You don't look fine. You look worn out and like you're not feeling well. Maybe you should rest. Keeping yourself in your human form isn't helping you." Misty contrayed. "But..." Ashura tried to say. "Listen, I'll take care of your children, I won't let anything happen to them. I know they don't really like me too much, but I care about you, and I won't let anything happen." Misty promised. "All right." Ashura gave in.
Ashura took on his Mew form and ended up falling asleep within a few seconds. Misty picked him up and set him underneath a tree, and out of view.
"Hey girl, where's our dad?" Sasame wondered. "He's not feeling well, so I'm keeping an eye on you." Misty answered. "She's looking after us? This'll be fun." Rena grinned.
Sasame and Rena looked at each other and began laughing, Misty knew they were up to something. Sasame picked up Misty's bag that held her pokeballs and threw into a nearby stream. Misty dove in after it and got it out of the water. Sasame and Rena began laughing, but Misty ignored them.
"Listen girl, I don't know why you insist on treating us like we're your children, we're not! You're just a measly human, we're Mews of noble birth!" Sasame stated. "We've tried to get it through your thick skull hundreds of times, so why won't you take hint?!" Rena added. "Because...I promised your father that I'd help him take care of you." Misty said boldly before walking away.
Misty was hurt by their words, but she didn't show it. The two Mews were puzzled and decided to go and play. They wanted to go back home, and they wondered why Ashura continued to keep them here. While they weren't paying attention, they suddenly found themselves trapped ina strange ball. They tried to break free, but due to their age were nowhere near strong enough. An evil laugh was heard. Meowth appeared and told Jessie and James they they the got the two Mews they were pursuing, and suggested that they leave now before Ash shows up. The two Mews cried out to their dad, but he couldn't hear them. They just about gave up hope, until a massive Hydro Pump attack came out of nowhere and stopped Team Rocket in their tracks.
"Let them go!" a voice demanded.
Everyone looked over to see Misty standing on her Gyrados. Team Rocket sent out their pokemon, only to be defeated.
"She's kind of cool." Rena admitted. "I guess." Sasame agreed.
Misty sent out Staryu and had it use Swift to cut the Mews free. The two Mews gave each other a high-five and used Psychic to send Team Rocket flying. The Mews found themselves tired, the bubble things had drained their energy. Misty approached them and picked them both up.
"Why'd you save us? After everything we did to you?" Sasame questioned. "I told you already. I know you two want to go home, so I'll tell your father for your sake that he better take you two back." Misty responded. "We don't want to go back..." Rena began. "We want to stay here with you..." Sasame continued. "You're like a mom to us." both finished.
The two passed out and Misty smiled, nearly crying. Ashura woke up and thought about taking his children back home. He was surprised to see Misty napping underneath a tree, with both of his children curled up beside her.
"Maybe, it is better if we stayed here after all." Ashura smiled.
End of special!
There you have it, the long-awaited special.
