Part 5: Meeting of the Elders
While Ashura continued to try and get his hat back, Nao and the others met with a group of older Mews, probably in their 700s.
"I assume you've brought him." one of them said. "Yes, we did." Nao replied. "Very good, now we just need to monitor him until he's needed." the older Mew stated. "You're not going to tell him?" Ayo wondered. "Why should we?" the Mew asked back. "It doesn't matter how young he is, he deserves to know! You can't go and put restrictions on him without him even knowing why!" Eito shouted. "We can't have him abusing the system now, can we?" another older mew interogated. "Abuse it? Hah, you'd be lucky if he even liked it. Why do you think his father left? All of the restrictions you set on him made it impossible for him to attempt to even live his childhood to the fullest!" Eito laughed. "You know we had to protect him!" the Mew said, outraged. "Protect him, or prevent him from having any fun?! If we we knew you would do this we wouldn't have brought him!" Ayu exclaimed.
Nao couldn't bother listening anymore.
"Here's the deal, either we tell him, or you let him have total freedom! And if we tell him, we'll be sure to inform him about all of the possible exploits. You can't stop us, not after his father gave us the order of watching over him. If anything happens to him, it'll be on our shoulders, not yours. Now what's it going to be?" Nao explained.
The group of older Mews heaved a sigh.
"Why did that guy take such an interest in you three?" one of them wondered. "It's not like he's ever going to be needed, his father never was." Nao reminded. "All right, we'll grant him freedom for now. However, if he ever leaves he will have someone following him, and something happens to him we gain full control of his survailance." the oldest one decided. "Don't worry, we'll protect him. I don't think he'll need it though." Nao promised. "Why is that?" all of the mews asked.
Nao, Eito, and Ayu began to laugh.
"Because he possesses more than enough power. Despite his birth, he's stronger than most of us." Nao answered.
Nao pulled out a gold necklace with a symbol on it.
"We'll be giving this to him, it'll make him more noticible." Nao said. "As if the hat wasn't enough." Ayu snickered.
The trio left and the older Mews all sighed again. They didn't want Ashura to know the truth about his birth for many reasons, that he was what one could call the ruler of all of the Mews. The council of elders' job was to look after young Mews that were of noble birth until they were old enough to take their position. However, do to the strictness of their rules, Nao and the others refused to let them watch Ashura. If Ashura were to find out the truth about his birth too soon, he could take his position and cause problems. Plain and simple, he was far too young to be a leader. His father didn't want that kind of life for his son, which is why he left. When he became ill, he returned to ask everyone to protect Ashura, since he woudln't be able to. He gave specific order to his friends who helped him escape, Nao, Ayu, and Eito, to look after him. Since Ashura had been born from a human, he wouldn't know his true heritage until he was at least sixteen. Ashura's father told Delia before he returned to call Ashura by the name of Ash. The necklace Nao had was infused with energy that would alert everyone when he was in danger. It also symbolized that Ashura was of noble birth, though only the older Mews would know it. It appeared that Ashura would be able to live the normal life of a Mew. Meanwhile, Ashura had finally caught up to group and got his hat back.
"Not bad." the girl complimented.

Part 6: Power of the Prince
The girl came a little closer to Ashura.
"What's your name?" she asked. "My name? It's um...Ash...ura." Ash answered, almost using his human name. "Ashura huh? Nice to meet you, I'm Syria. These two are my brothers Misawa and Nasuko." the girl greeted. "I guess you're the first friends I've made since I came here." Ashura replied. "You were a human before right?" Syria questioned. "You knew?" Ashura wondered. "Everyone does, you still smell kind of like one. Don't worry, nearly all of us don't care. You're not the first human born Mew." Syria giggled. "So, why is that hat so important to you? Most Mews that come here don't bring things from the outside world." Nasuko asked. "This hat has always been important to me for many years since I was little, but now it's the only thing I have to remind me of my friends." Ashura answered.
Syria and the others decided not to pressure him too much, he was still new after all. They invited Ashura to play with them somre more.
"Maybe he'd have more fun if it wasn't with you!" a voice called. "Back off Sagi-niichan*, he's still new here!" Syria exclaimed. "You're not in charge of me when mom's not around. He's a boy, and he should be playing with us. If Misawa and Nasuko weren't so young, we'd invite them too." Sagi replied.
Sagi approached Ashura.
"If you're new here, then you should learn to hang out with other closer to your own age and gender." Sagi informed.
Ashura remained silent.
"And what's with the hat?!" Sagi stated, taking Ashura's hat and throwing it into the water below.
Ashura had thought about what Sagi said, but now didn't care any longer. He clenched his fist and punched Sagi, sending him down into the water fast. Sagi grew annoyed and used his psychic powers to hold Ashura still. Ashura managed to create a barrier and expand it to free himself.
"You're strong kid, even more of a reason you should hang out with us." Sagi complimented. "I don't care, just give me back my hat." Ashura ordered. "Why do you care about it so much?" Sagi wondered. "Because, it's the only thing I have to remind me about my friends!" Ashura responded. "You're a Mew, not a human anymore, you should forget about them." Sagi said.
With that statement, Ashura snapped and created a small ball of psychic energy. He hurled it at Sagi, sending Sagi down into the water. Sagi appeared to be hurt badly.
"How did he do that?" Sagi thought.
Nao, Ayu, and Eito were watching from a distance.
"Seems like our little prince has learned how to do something that only more experienced Mews can do." Nao observed. "Looks that way." Ayu and Eito agreed.
*Nii-chan usually refers to brother. Replacing the "ii" with "ee" indicates speaking to a female.
