Chapter 75: Becoming Real
Anthony finally opened his eyes and realized it was dark outside.
"So, you're finally awake?" Red wondered.
Anthony looked over and saw Red and Zack, along with Jessie and James by his side. Pikachu was next to him as well, completely healed.
"Here." Zack said, handing him a plate of food. "I...I saw my dad, in my dream." Anthony remembered. "That was no dream kid." Meowth blurted out. "What?!" Anthony gasped. "He's right, your father really did save you." James added. "Where is he now?" Anthony asked. "He's gone." Jessie answered.
Anthony sighed, the one time he had to meet with his dad, and he had passed out.
"Listen, your dad risked a lot to come and save you. He had something important to do, and he said he's proud of you. He'll see you at the Pokemon League." Red explained.
Anthony nodded his head and decided to eat. He looked at his bandaged hand, and then at Pikachu.
"Thanks buddy." he smiled, petting his friend.
Meanwhile, Ash was at Oak's lab in Pallet.
"You finish it?" Ash questioned. "Yes, but there's no guarantee it'll work. You being here mans you succeeded, right?" Oak wondered.
Ash showed Oak the ball containing Cyber Mew.
"Looks like you'll finally get the funding you need." Oak stated. "No, there's no need. He was the last one." Ash sighed. "Oh..." Oak responded.
Ash set the ball down and released Cyber Mew. He observed Cyber Mew's body, it was quickly becoming digital.
"We don't have much time." Ash alerted.
Oak nodded his head and Ash picked up Cyber Mew. Cyber Mew turned over and saw what looked to be a motionless Mew body.
"What's going on?" he asked weakly. "This body is a clone of a real Mew, Zack's to be precise. However, it was designed to be born already dead, so there's no living soul inside it. If this test is a success, you'll be able to safely merge with the body, and have a real one of your own. It may be clone, but it's still real." Oak informed.
Cyber Mew looked up at Ash and Ash nodded his head. Cyber Mew decided to give it a try. Ash gently set Cyber Mew's body down over the Mew clone. Cyber Mew's body became purely digital as it sank into the body. The bodies began to merge and began glowing.
"Let's hope this works." Ash announced.
Chapter 76: Success
It was early the next morning, and Anthony got up to find his Pikachu playing around happily. Pikachu noticed his master and ran over, jumping into his arms.
"I'm glad you're okay!" Pikachu told him. "Me too!" Anthony smiled.
The two began laughing, and everyone else just smiled. Zack approached the others.
"I'll take him back to Pallet Town, as I'm heading that way too." he announced. "Take care." Red wished. "We'll probably meet again at the League." James reminded.
Red, Jessie, and james parted ways and Zack went over to his nephew.
"Ready to go?" Zack asked, his Pikachu popping over his shoulder.
Anthony nodded his head and the group left towards Pallet. Meanwhile, Ash was woken up by soemthing pushing at his body. He opened his eyes to find Cyber Mew smiling down at him...only, Cyber Mew wasn't cyber anymore.
"The process finally finished. He's 100% real." Oak informed. "Really? I'm glad." Ash replied.
Mew approached Ash happily.
"Thank you, for everything." Mew thanked. "Don't mention it. You're free now, and you're real." Ash responded. "Actually, I want to stay with you. You're the only human I feel like I can trust, and I have nowhere else to go now. So, can I stay with you?" Mew requested. "Fine." Ash agreed, patting him on the head.
Ash got to his feet.
"Just so you know, I have other things I need to do, so you're going to have to stay here for a while." Ash told him.
Mew had no objections, and Ash walked outside. All of his pokemon, including Pikachu, Eevee, and Lugia greeted him. Ash was buried by a hoard of pokemon. Ash introduced everyone else to Mew, and they allowed Mew to play with them. Ash watched him with Pikachu and Eevee for a while.
"Just so you know, he's lost all of his power. It was one of the first things he noticed." Oak warned. "He's happy, so I don't think he cares." Ash replied. "I'd rather be weak and real any day." Pikachu told Ash. "Me too." Eevee agreed.
Ash turned to Oak.
"Professor, I think you should keep him from my son when he shows up, at least for now." Ash suggested. "Don't worry, I'll keep a good eye on him." Oak promised
Ash called for Lugia and he took along one more pokemon with him. The next stop for him, was the Kanto Indigo Plateu. He had a lot of things to do within the next couple months. Pikachu and Eeve climbed aboard and Ash told Mew to behave. Mew agreed and Ash took off with his pokemon. Meanwhile, Zack and Anthony slowly approached Pallet Town.

Chapter 77: Return to Pallet
After travelling for two days, Anthony and Zack finally arrived back in Pallet Town.
"We're home Pikachu." Anthony said. "Yes we are." Pikachu said back. "You should stop and see your mom, I'm sure she would like to see you." Zack suggested.
Anthony nodded his head and the two entered the town. A few of the villagers stopped and greeted him, happy to see him again. Anthony soon arrived at his house and knocked on the door. Misty answered it.
"Hi mom." Anthony greeted. "Anthony, is that you?" Misty asked.
She looked at Anthony and hugged him.
"You've gotten bigger." Misty complimented. "Eh, thanks." Anthony replied.
Misty noticed Zack and the two entered the house. Zack leaned over to whisper something in Misty's ear.
"Has Ash left already?" Zack wondered. "Yes, he left yesterday." Misty confirmed.
Zack ran into the kitchen to get some food.
"I'll make you something in a minute dear, just wait a second." Misty called.
Misty turned back to Zack.
"Ash told me what happened, but I was wondering if myabe you could give me a more detailed explanation?" Misty requested. "Sure." Zack answered.
Misty went and made lunch for the group. While Zack happily chowed down, Zack told Misty everything about when Anthony was kidnapped. Anthony finished and told his mother that he was going to see Prof. Oak. Zack told him to hold on, because he would accompany him.
"The Pokemon League's not that far away. I'll take the responsiblity of helping him train." Zack announced. "Thank you." Misty responded.
Zack and his Pikachu got up and went with Anthony and his Pikachu to see Prof. Oak.
Chapter 78: The Other Rival
The arrived and were greeted by Tracey. Oak arrived and wanted to talk to Zack alone. Tracey led Anthony into another room.
"The procedure was a success." Oak informed. "Knowing your experts, I'm not surprised." Zack replied. "You're too kind. However, he did lose nearly all of his power in the process. Ash has requested to keep him away from Anthony for the time being." Oak told him. "Thanks, I'll keep that in mind." Zack said.
Meanwhile, Anthony met a familiar face in the room.
"Oh, it's you..." Anthony sighed. "Jealous because I beat you here?" the boy bellowed. "You wish." Anthony smirked.
Pikachu whispered something in Anthony's ear, and Anthony began laughing.
"All right, what did the rodent say about me?!" the boy demanded. "Now now Gray, there's no reason to get upset." a voice said in a calm voice.
Anthony looekd over and recognized a man standing there to be Gary.
"Yes father." Gray sighed.
Oak and Zack both entered the room. Oak began explaining their statistics, and noted that they are the only ones from Pallet this time around who made it. Nara made it to, but because he wasn't originally from Pallet, he didn't count.
"Heh, just like the two of us." Gary remembered.
Oak and Tracey led them outside to meet with their pokemon. During this time, Zack secretly met up with Ash's Mew, formally known as Cyber Mew.
"Listen, we need you to stay over here for a little while." Zack reminded. "I know, I will. I do want to say sorry to you though. You know, for all of thetrouble I caused you, and for trying to take your Mew's body." Mew stated. "Don't mention it. Mew still helped you out anyways, his DNA is what gave you that body." Zack smiled. "Yes, it was. Tell him I said thanks when you get the chance." Mew replied. "Don't worry, I will." Zack promised.
Zack left Mew and rejoined the group. He nodded towards Oak, who nodded back.

Chapter 79: Time to Train
Anthony decided to select Scyther and his male Nidoran as his replacements for his two open slots. Gray selected the pokemon he would be training as well. The only pokemon of Gray's that Anthony got a good look at was his Blastoise, which he had eveolved from the pokemon he started with.
"Hey Gray, how about a quick battle?" Anthony proposed. "Nah, that wouldn't be a good idea right now. I'd prefer to face you in the Pokemon League, and take you down in front of everyone. That is, assuming you make it far enough to battle me." Gray smirked.
Gary hit Gray on the head, causing Gray to complain.
"Just don't go crying when I beat you." Anthony responded. "Think you'll win, eh? Well, either way...don't lose until we face off." Gray stated. "Same to you." Anthony smiled.
The two smacked hands and Gary took Gray away. Zack told Anthony that it would be a good idea to back home, since it was getting dark. Anthony nodded his head and the group left. Later that night, Anthony like awake in his room, looking at Pikachu.
"We've finally made it. Now we just have to train enough to win it. Then, I'll finally see my dad again!" Anthony said. "Yeah, but the competition's going to be tough. What if we lose?" Pikachu asked. "We won't. However, if we did, I'm sure I'd find some way to see my dad." Anthony answered.
The next day, he was back to his old habit of sleeping in. Misty woke him up, and made him some breakfast. After finishing, Zack told Anthony to follow him. Zack led Anthony to an open area on the beach. He then turned towards his nephew.
"I'm going to test you Anthony, the same way I battled yoru dad before he got stronger. You will use all of your pokemon, and I will use only three." Zack announced. "Me, battle you?" Anthony wondered. "Yes, have a problem with that?" Zack questioned. "Of course not." Anthony replied, taking out a pokeball.
Chapter 80: Room to Improve
Anthony started off with his weakest pokemon, his Nidoran, while Zack used his Ninetails. As hard as Anthony tried, in the end it was only his Pikachu against Ninetails.
"Use Thunderbolt!" Anthony ordered. "Dodge it." Zack countered.
As Pikachu released his attack, Ninetails easily avoided the attack.
"Will-o-wisp!" Zack exclaimed. "Use Agility!" Anthony shouted.
Pikachu used Agility to avoid the attack. Both trainers told their pokemon to use Quick Attack. The two collided, and both bounced backwards from the impact.
"Imprison." Zack told Ninetails. "Not again..." Anthony moaned, knowing what would happen.
After having most of his attacks rendered useless, Pikachu was virtually helpless. Zack told Ninetails to use Quick Attack again. The attack hit, but Anthony was fortunate enough for Pikachu's Static ability to take effect.
"I guess that's enough." Zack decided, calling back Ninetails.
Anthony walked over to a weakened Pikachu and picked him up.
"That wasn't too bad, I can see you've done really well in raising your pokemon. But, if you want to win the Pokemon League, you're going to have to get a lot stronger." Zack explained.
Zack got out some of his special potions and had ANthony give one to each of his pokemon. Within ten minutes, all of them were just fine.
"Pikachu..." Zack called. "Yes?" his pokemon wondered. "I want you to take Anthony's Pikachu and give him some advice. You don't need to train him, just tell him some things he could've doen better to help Anthony out in the battle." Zack requested. "Sure." Pikachu replied.
Zack's Pikachu went over to Anthony and grabbed it's arm. He then dragged him off a little in the disance. Meanwhile, Zack began instructing Anthony on thigns he could improve on. Anthony didn't realize a lot of the mistakes he made. He was happy though, that it was his uncle who was helping him.
