Don't think I've forgotten about my other fics, I'll still get to those. I just felt like starting another fic since my "Origin of Ash" one finished. This one has nothing to do with Ash or any of them.
In a nutshell: A young boy named Pike despises pokemon. Nobody knows why, but whenever he sees one, he literally wants to kick them in the face. Likewise, he has no friends, human or pokemon, and everyone hates him. One day Pike's cruelty towards pokemon goes too far, when he nearly kills a still young Pikachu. Outraged, the guardian of the forest near his village curses him, by turning him into the pokemon he last tormented, a Pikachu. The number 100 appears on his forehead, symbolizing that he is under a curse, and every pokemon in the world will know why. To return to normal, he must make friends with 100 different kinds of pokemon. In other words, he can't make friends with 100 Pikachu, they must all be different. They must truly be his friend, and he must want them to be friends as much as they do he. Tough task, when every pokemon he encounters wants nothing more than to ignore him. To make matters worse, if Pike ends up getting caught by a human trainer, he can never return to being human ever again. A year passes, and he still has no friends, making him begin to fear of being a Pikachu forever. Noticing that Pike is barely staying alive, the Pikachu whom he almost killed surprisingly decides to aid him, and even becomes his first true friend. With the Pikachu's help, Pike learns to appreciate pokemon and slowly makes more and more friends. However, will Pike truly change his ways? Even if he does, can he even return to being a human? And, why does Pike dislike pokemon anyways?
Note that although he needs to make 100 friends, that doesn't mean there are 100 chapters. In all honesty, there are only about 10-20 chapters.
Chapter 1: Cursed
An evil laugh came from a young boy as he was chasing after some Rattatas. The boy had brown hair, and wore a silver shirt with green shorts.
"Stay still!" the boy laughed, pulling back a slingshot.
The boy released the shot as a rock flew from the slingshot onto a Rattata's head. The pokemon stopped in pain as the boy approahced it.
"Pike you jerk, why do you always do this?!" a voice called.
"Shut up, I have my reasons." Pike groaned.
"Reasons that you don't tell anyone. Honestly, one of these days you're going to get what you deserve." the girl scowled, picking up the Rattata and soothing it before letting it go.
"Pathetic." Pike thought, walking away.
Pike hated all pokemon, yet he never told anybody why. Everyone despised him back in his village, most of them giving him the cold shoulder whenever they saw him. Pike lived alone, and had no friends. Every single time that Pike saw a pokemon, he began tormenting it in some way. Pike cursed the girl from before as he entered the forest just outside his village. Most of the pokemon knew about Pike and his deeds, therefore they avoided him. Pike was pleased by this.
"Stupid pokemon." Pike cursed, clenching his fist.
Pike heard the sound of some pokemon and ran over to where it came from. Pike saw a group of Pikachus playing together. Pike put on some rubber gloves and jumped out to surprise them. The Pikachus began to freak out and tried to zap him. Pike held out his hands and blocked the electricity. Panicking, the pokemon fled in terror. One of them tripped, and Pike approached it.
"You all make me sick!" he said.
Pike noticed how scared it was and actually felt a small bit of kindness. He decided he'd let it go because he liked the fear he had already seen, until it bit his finger, and hard.
"Darn you!" Pike shouted, tossing the Pikachu against a tree.
The Pikachu got to its feet and Pike kicked it.
"The one time I feel generous, and you go and blow it! Honestly, all of you pokemon are the same! You don't care about us humans, in fact you despise us all. I won't forget what your kind did!" Pike exclaimed.
The pokemon slowly got to its feet and Pike picked it up, choking it. He slammed it against the ground and punched it hard. The pokemon who witnessed this grew angry, but Pike was not somebody to be messed with. He had items at his dissposal that could take them all out. Pike began to walk away, feeling staisfied. That is, until he heard a voice.
"Your actions have gone on long enough!" a voice shouted angrilly.
Pike looked around until a glowing light emerged. Appearing before him, was a Mew. Pike grinned evilly as he prepared to take out some of his item. The Mew quickly retalliated by knocking him back onto the ground beside the Pikachu. Pike turned his head and saw the Pikachu badly injured, he had never realized how young it was.
"He's having trouble breathing, because you crunched his air pipe. Luckily I'm here, or he might not survive at his age." the Mew informed.
Mew floated over and healed the Pikachu. It got up weakly and ran off.
"Pike, you feel no compassion for pokemon, you think off them only as sins against nature." the Mew began.
"Because they are." Pike retorted.
"You don't even know what really happened back then! As for your punishment, I think it'd be fitting to become what you hate!" the Mew explained.
Pike became engulfed in a barrier. He began cringing in pain as he shrank in size, causing his clothes to fall off. His skin turned yellow and brown, as his ear became pointed and slowly crept up his head. His teeth became sharp fangs, and he grew a lightning bolt shaped tail. His cheeks were now red, and a red 100 appeared on his forehead. Pike tried to say something, and noticed he could only say the word "Pikachu". He tried to ask what happened.
"You have taken the form of the pokemon you targetted last. You're now a pokemon, and will not become a human again unless you can make friends with 100 different kinds of pokemon. Also, if you become captured in a pokeball, not only will you become that human's 'slave,' but you will lose your chance at ever becoming a human again. Feel the pain that you have inflicted upon others!" the Mew explained.
Pike looked around in fear as the Mew disappeared. Now that he was a pokemon, the other pokemon appeared. Each of them began attacking him, giving him no time to defend himself. He fell to the ground weakly, and the pokemon laughed as they left. Pike began to cry, unaware that the Pikachu from before was watching him.
