Chapter 58: Separated at the Temple
The group of duelists all ran across the bridge.
"I say we watch and support them." Crowler proposed.
"I don't think that's a good idea. Remember what Kaze said?" Edo replied.
"Do you always do what the person who's trying revive some ancient demons says?" Crowler said.
Crowler put his foot on the bridge, but his foot sank through it. Crowler immediately fell backwards to prevent from falling off.
"You were saying?" Edo smirked.
"Oh shut up." Crowler growled.
As the group reached the island with the temple, two stone beasts suddenly emerged from the ground.
"There are too many of you to enter! Leave now! That is unless you can take us on!" the beasts stated.
Two duel disks suddenly appeared on the arms of the beasts. Aira prepared to duel them, but Bakura and Marik both stepped in the way.
"We'll handle them, you all go on ahead." Marik announced.
"Don't worry, we can take them on." Bakura added.
"All right, be careful you two." Yugi replied.
The two gave some thumbs up and the rest of the group continued into the temple. They saw a door with stairs leading downwards. They ran down, only to enter yet another room. Two duelists from the International School of Duel blocked their path.
"If you want to proceed, you'll have to duel against us!" they declared.
Mai stepped forward.
"That sounds fun." she smiled.
She turned to Alexis.
"Hey girl, how about we show them what we're made of?" Mai suggested.
"Sounds good to me." Alexis agreed.
Mai and Alexis told the rest to proceed.
"That guy, he's trying to separate us!" Aira realized.
Chapter 59: The Numbers Thin
As the group continued down more stairs, Mai and Alexis began their duel.
"I summon Cyber Tutu in attack mode!" Alexis announced.
After the next turns passed, mai took her own turn. She summoned her Cyber Harpy in attack mode.
"Looks like we both believe in girl power." Mai smiled.
It didn't take the group long before they reached yet another room. Another door was there, with two more duelists blocking the way. Bastian stepped forward this time.
"I'll take you on!" Bastian decided.
"Not so fast." Joey said.
Joey stepped up to Bastian's side.
"You need a partner. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the brightest guy around, but in a duel my brain gets a jumpstart." Joey laughed.
"Fine by me." Bastian chuckled.
"Good luck!" the rest of the group wished.
"Take good care of that kid Wheeler!" Kaiba stated.
"Don't worry about it rich boy." Joey smirked.
Meanwhile, Kaze had reached the bottom, he was alone.
"Now just final piece remains!" he cackled evilly.
The group ran down the stairs, and came across yet another room. This one seemed empty.
"Guess Kaze didn't send anybody to stop us this time." Jaden figured.
Aira clenched his shoulder in pain.
"No, we're not alone. Why don't you just yourself Genbu?!" Aira dared.
A sinister laugh was heard, as the duel spirit of Genbu suddenly emerged from the ground.
"The master has ordered me to prevent your continuation." Genbu said.
Aira got ready to transform, but Zane and Syrus both confronted Genbu.
"I think we have a score to settle." Zane stated..
"You guys go on ahead, we'll be fine." Syrus todl them.
"But..." Aira started.
"You're the only one who can stop Kaze. You have to go." Zane reminded.
Aira knew his body wouldn't like it, but agreed with him, as did the rest of the group. They proceeded down the stairs.
"This time you won't escape Syrus!" Genbu declared.
"If you want him, you'll have to get past me!" Zane responded.
Now only 5 duelists remained as they continued into the depths of the temple.

The group progressed even further down the stairs, until the came to yet another room.
"You've done well to make it this far." a voice commented.
A boy that appeared to be a few years younger than Kaiba emerged.
"But it's over now!" he bellowed.
The boy turned to Aira.
"It's been a while Aira." the boy said.
"Not long enough Jin." Aira sneered.
"Who is that?" Jaden asked.
"He's another holder of the Japanese gods." Yugi answered.
Chazz prepared his deck.
"I haven't been getting enough recognition lately. I'll handle him." Chazz announced.
"No, you aren't good enough to take him on alone. As much as I hate to say it, that god of his has a nasty ability." Kaiba told him.
"So, you know of his abilities?" Jin questioned.
"I'd prefer to take him out quickly, so how about we double team him?" Kaiba suggested.
"Me, duel with the legendary Seto kaiba? I'd be happy to." Chazz replied.
"Two against one? That doesn't seem fair. How about you let me start off with 8000 life points then?" Jin said.
"Fine." Kaiba agreed.
"Okay, I'll accept your challenge." Jin decided.
Kaiba told the others to keep going, all of them nodded in agreement.
"I'll go first." Chazz said, drawing his card.
Chazz looked at his hand.
"I'll start things off by playing Armed Dragon Level 3 in attack mode, and then set two cards face down. That'll do it for me." Chazz started off.
Kaiba drew his card.
"Okay then, I'll summon the Lord of Dragons in defense mode. I'll then play Flute of Summon Dragon to bring out a Hyozanryu, and a Blue-Eyes White Dragon onto the field, both in attack mode. I'll place one card face down and end my turn." Kaiba explained.
"My move." Jin announced.
Jin drew his card and laughed.
"These fools have no idea what they're in for." he thought.
