In I, Robot, Robots have to follow the Three Laws.
Law I
A Robot may not injure a human being, or through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
Law II
A Robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the first law.
Law III
A Robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the first or second law.

Yeah. And so does V.I.K.I. In case anyone doesn't know, V.I.K.I. stands for Virtual Interactive Kinetic Intelligence.
V.I.K.I. was planning something evil so Dr. Lanning created Sonny so that he could disobey the three laws in order to kill him so he wouldn't be around to witness it. When Dr. Lanning died, Detective Del Spooner (Played by Will Smith) was called and he investigated it, eventually killing V.I.K.I. to save the United States and possibly the whole world. (Highlight for Spoilers)
